Youth Development

As a practice we have always supported a range of activities to encourage youth development in both the context of the profession and society.

We achieve this in a number of ways;

•    Work Experience Placement
Each year we receive requests from schools and students to provide work experience in an architect’s office. Demand is high so the successful student is carefully chosen after reviewing the applications. We provide a week long placement which allows a broad appreciation of the construction industry, the role of the architect and general office based employment. This can include attending design team meetings, client presentations and site visits. After the week long experience we provide a record of activities undertaken and commentary for both the student and the school.

•    Collective Sport Sponsorship
Being a team player is fundamental in succeeding as an architect and therefore to be involved in a collective sport environment is both positive physically and psychologically. Over the years we have sponsored Youth Football through a number of initiatives – Referee fee sponsorship, Team kit sponsorship, Match ball sponsorship.

•    Individual Sport Sponsorship
Conversely, architecture also requires an individual spirit and therefore we sponsor sports which demand such focus and determination. Table Tennis is such a sport and have sponsored events covering grass roots and elite players
